This company is dedicated in memory of my dear friend, Oakland, CA Police Sergeant Ervin J. Romans II.
On March 21, 2009, Sergeant Ervin Romans and Sergeant Daniel Sakai, SWAT team members, were killed when they attempted to apprehend a suspect that had earlier in the day shot and killed Sergeant Mark Dunakin and mortally wounded Officer John Hege during a traffic stop.
Sergeant Romans had served with the Oakland Police Department for 13 years and had previously served with the United States Marine Corp.
The ”shield” is symbolic of the many lives that “Erv” saved thus forming this company’s name: Romans Shield LLC. “Heroes live Forever”! You will never be forgotten!
